As you can imagine, the house guests and travel have made it a bit difficult to find time to blog. KTV (karaoke) was a disaster – only Jie-jie and her friend Stella enjoyed themselves for the 1.5 hours we persisted with the endeavor. I will describe the evening in detail in a later post. The bus was an unqualified success – making the trip much less onerous than is usually the case – we were able to relax on the bus, we piled off at the border, walked through customs, got back on the bus, and were dropped off right on campus.
Our friends from Sweden have returned home. Our 2 weeks with them flew by. As always, we wish we were able to see them on a more regular basis. Our good friends from Milwaukee are here now. This morning we are headed out to see the Temple of the 6 Banyan Trees.
