Happy New Year!

I have good news. I have finally obtained the chop for [Mei-mei] to attend kindergarten. We will not be back to Guangzhou until the weekend before the semester starts. However, I would like to enroll [Mei-mei] on that first morning of Monday March 1. Would you be able contact the kindergarten some time before March 1 to let them know? Also, are you able to come to the kindergarten with me that day?

Thank you so much.

Yours,
Andrea

Andrea,

The director of the kindergarten said that there were too many kids in the class now, would you please wait one to two weeks after this semester starts?

[Friend],

This is terrible news. Is there another classroom that has space? We have been waiting a very long time for Mei-mei to start
kindergarten because of the medical problems and she will be devastated if she cannot go. Also, I am supposed to teach a graduate seminar this semester and it will be very difficult if Mei-mei is not in school.

She will be three years old in May. Perhaps there is space in the three-year-old class?

Andrea

Andrea,

Good news for you. Now [Mei-mei] can go to school. After she has breakfast on Monday, please take her there and Let’s meet there. What time is good for you?

[Friend]
