Referencing a NYTimes article is okay, giving a basis for items to discuss. It’s a huge article though, with ‘Tons’ to think on.

Starting with 1. referring to ‘global warming’, because in my estimation this is the topic with “the most widely needed answers for today”…

The opening comments refer to ‘global warming’ as something that wasn’t even discussed, or even ‘thought of as a need to be discussed’. As the article said, “…back in 1968… The oraters at the first Earth Day didn’t deliver speeches on global warming because they couldn’t see ahead for the need and also that they weren’t sure society would be still existing. And then in the next paragraph, “Who had time to worry about a distant danger from a natural substance like carbon dioxide?…” Answer is, “No one.” And also, “That the United States is addicted to what fossil fuels can afford them in comfort.”

My answers to these are: 1) to cut out the present form of energy use: including gasoline and oil use, and also using nuclear energy for power. 2) to use wind energy here on earth 3) to somehow generate energy from the sun on the moon and somehow transport it to earth.

Anyway, these are my thoughts. Thank-you for the article.
