Race matters when it comes to economic inequality

Gerald recently commented that race and poverty are not intertwined, but this article from today’s NYTimes shows that race makes all the difference. The economic recession has eliminated many of the economic gains made by African Americans. This is due in part to the fact that it looks like at least one bank targeted non-white neighborhoods for high interest mortgages and consolidations.
