Pull the Plug on Your Appliances

There are many ways to save money, pollute less, and be more energy efficient. Inflate you car tires properly, turn down your thermostat in the winter, buy CFLs, and turn off the clock on your microwave (which often uses more energy over the year than you use heating food).

But this is a new favorite: Unplug your appliances and electronics!

Appliances and electronics remain on standby power, so they turn on quickly and are actually on even when they are off. Check out this article for more info.

    Another way – ride a bike instead of driving sometimes – it’s easier than many people think, and as a bonus … better health and fitness, (and fun, for me at least).
