Guangzhou weather

The weather has been absolutely fabulous so far. Last week it was sunny and in the mid-70s. We had one cool (40s and 50s) rainy day yesterday and the sun is out again this morning. The forecast puts is in the 60s and mostly sunny all week. I remember a pretty dramatic shift in the weather when we were here last year (January and February being primarily wet and cold). I am glad that we are not experiencing that more challenging weather that made it impossible to dry clothes, left us all freezing and pent up indoors without any place to take the kids. Instead we are enjoying a bit of respite from the winter we know awaits us back in Montpelier.

The city instated loads of air quality and traffic control measures for the Asian games that went on here in November. The measures were in place for a few months and just ended this past week. There is a striking difference in the air quality which is only exacerbated in my mind by seeing the horrific air of Xi’an.
